Cloud nine…and a half.

A couple things have happened since I last blogged. I moved into my apartment, I got lost in DT-Atlanta/DT-Decatur, and I got a very, very short haircut!

I love my apartment! Absolutely love it! It’s a little two bedroom apartment in Decatur, right across the street from Emory Medical School. There are a bunch of smart kids living in the complex. I want to buy an Emory bumper sticker just to fit in! Ha! There’s a fireplace in the living room and a breakfast bar in the kitchen. It is so amazing! I’m going to love it here. I’m going to post some pictures somewhere in the blog, maybe under this paragraph :)

I have a habit of getting lost in the worst neighborhoods! On my way to the “Mix and Mingle” for my school, I got majorly lost in Atlanta/Decatur/Tucker. Like Majorly lost. I ended up in a part of town where they have: African Hair-Braiding, an African supermarket with voodoo supplies, and a bunch of people standing on the street corner talking shit to one another. Good times! I pulled into a gas station, flipped a U-turn, and didn’t even stop to check if traffic was clear! I missed the tour of my school and pretty much everything else too. So, to make up for the mishap, I’m going to the open house Saturday morning at nine-thirty. There’s going to be a tour and a chef’s demonstration. I’m excited. So freakin’ excited.

Not much more to say right now. Now that I got hair cut I can go search for a job. Hopefully I don’t have to default to Blockbuster, because I don’t think I can deal with that! Ha. Yeah.

Here’s the recipe of the day! Yummm

Goat Cheese and Chorizo Rolls

Have a good one! Love y’all!

  1. Damn, I already responded to two of your posts, and once I responded to the third one, I realized that I only ever got to the "comment preview" and never REALLY submitted any of them.....
    FUCKING BUREAUCRATIC BLOGGING BULLSHIT.

    ahem.. sorry.

Anyway, my original comment read something like this: Oh my god! Nick! I'm so happy for you. You don't even sound like the old Nick I remember. I'm so happy you're finally doing what you really want to do. This is incredible.
I'm still pissed that you didn't even TRY to hang out with me before you left...but whatevzzz. :P

You've got to keep this blog up, man. I will be an avid reader.
    Yours truly,
    Andrea

  2. Dude, your place looks nice! I kinda wish I had my own place-- I mean, at least independent of my parents. But right now I really can't complain. I'm happy to see that you have a comfortable home down there!
